رزق / Rizq
Rizq is the Islamic concept of sustenance, provision, and blessings provided by Allah to His creation.
The Rizq meaning in Islam refers to everything Allah provides for a person, including food, wealth, health, knowledge, family, opportunities, and spiritual blessings. Muslims believe all Rizq comes from Allah alone.
In Islam, Rizq includes both material and spiritual provisions given by Allah. It is not limited to money or wealth but also includes peace, guidance, happiness, good health, faith, and beneficial relationships.
Muslims are encouraged to seek halal Rizq through honest work, lawful earnings, and trust in Allah. Islam teaches that Allah has already written each person’s Rizq, but believers are still required to make effort, work responsibly, and pray for blessings and increase in sustenance.
The Quran frequently reminds believers that Allah is the ultimate provider and sustainer of all creation. Understanding Rizq helps Muslims develop gratitude, patience, contentment, and reliance on Allah during both ease and hardship.
Islam also teaches that acts such as charity, gratitude, maintaining family ties, and seeking forgiveness can bring barakah (blessing) into one’s Rizq. Muslims often make dua asking Allah for halal and beneficial Rizq.
