عثمان بن عفان / Uth-maan ibn Af-faan
Uthman ibn Affan (RA) was one of the closest companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the third Caliph of Islam.
Uthman ibn Affan (RA) was an early Muslim leader known for his generosity, modesty, kindness, and dedication to Islam. He accepted Islam in the early years of the Prophet’s mission and became one of the most respected Sahaba in Islamic history.
In Islam, Uthman ibn Affan (RA) is highly honored for his service to the Muslim Ummah and his close relationship with Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He married two daughters of the Prophet at different times, earning him the title Dhun-Nurayn, meaning “The Possessor of Two Lights.”
After the leadership of Umar ibn Al-Khattab (RA), Uthman (RA) became the third Caliph of Islam. During his caliphate, the Muslim community continued to expand, and one of his greatest contributions was the preservation and standardization of the Quran into a unified written copy known as the Mushaf Uthmani. This effort helped preserve the Quran’s correct recitation and text for future generations.
Uthman ibn Affan (RA) was also known for his charity and support of the Muslim community. He generously helped Muslims during difficult times and financed important community projects. His humility, patience, and devotion made him one of the most beloved companions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
