Hizb

حزب / Hizb

Hizb is a section of the Quran used to help Muslims organize Quran recitation, memorization, and study.

What Is Hizb?

The Hizb meaning in Islam refers to one of the divisions of the Quran. The Quran is divided into 60 Hizb sections to make reading and memorization easier for Muslims.

What Does Hizb Mean in Islam?

In Islam, Hizb helps Muslims recite the Quran in an organized and manageable way. Since the Quran is also divided into 30 Juz (parts), each Juz contains two Hizb sections. These divisions allow Muslims to complete Quran recitation over a specific period, especially during Ramadan or daily study routines.

Hizb divisions do not change the meaning or structure of the Quran. They are organizational markers created to help with consistent reading, memorization, and learning. Many Muslims use Hizb divisions while practicing Hifz or setting daily Quran recitation goals.

The concept of Hizb is especially helpful in Islamic schools, Quran classes, and personal worship because it provides a clear system for tracking progress in Quran study. Muslims around the world use these divisions to maintain regular engagement with the Quran and strengthen their connection with Allah.
