What Is the Adhan in Islam?

The Adhan is the call to prayer that invites Muslims to come together for Salah five times a day. It is called out from mosques and includes phrases like Allahu Akbar, the declaration of faith, and a call to success. The Adhan was first established in Madinah during the time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Hearing it is a daily reminder of Allah and the rhythm of Muslim life.
