اللَّهُ أَكْبَر / Al-la-hu Ak-bar
Allahu Akbar means “Allah is the Greatest” and is one of the most common phrases of remembrance in Islam.
Allahu Akbar is a short phrase that reminds Muslims of Allah’s greatness above everything else. It is said in the call to prayer, during each movement of Salah, on Eid, during difficulty, and during joy. The phrase is called Takbir. It centers a believer’s heart on Allah in every moment, big or small.
