اللوح المحفوظ / Lauh Mah-fooz
Lauh Mahfuz is the “Preserved Tablet” in Islam where Allah has written all knowledge, events, and destinies of creation.
The Lauh Mahfuz meaning in Islam refers to the divine preserved record created by Allah. Muslims believe that everything that has happened and everything that will happen is written in the Lauh Mahfuz by Allah’s perfect knowledge and wisdom.
In Islam, Lauh Mahfuz is an important concept connected to Qadr (divine decree) and Allah’s complete knowledge of the universe. The Quran mentions the Preserved Tablet as a protected and sacred record containing Allah’s decrees and guidance.
Muslims believe that Allah knows all things — past, present, and future — and that every event occurs according to His knowledge and permission. Lauh Mahfuz symbolizes the perfection of Allah’s wisdom, power, and control over creation.
The concept of Lauh Mahfuz also strengthens a believer’s trust in Allah during both good and difficult times. While Muslims are encouraged to work hard, make choices, and pray sincerely, they also believe that ultimate outcomes are part of Allah’s divine plan.
Islam teaches that belief in divine decree is one of the pillars of Iman (faith). Understanding Lauh Mahfuz helps Muslims develop patience, reliance on Allah, humility, and acceptance of His wisdom.
