What Is Surah Al-Faatiha?
Surah Al-Fatihah is the first Surah of the Quran. It contains seven ayahs and begins the Quran with praise of Allah, recognition of His mercy and a prayer for guidance.

Ayah 1
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Meaning
With the name of Allah, the All-Merciful, the Very-Merciful.

Ayah 2
ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ
Meaning
Praise belongs to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds.

Ayah 3
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
Meaning
the All-Merciful, the Very Merciful.
- 4
Ayah 4
مَـٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ
Meaning
the Master of the Day of Requital.
- 5
Ayah 5
إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ
Meaning
You alone do we worship, and from You alone do we seek help.

Ayah 6
ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ
Meaning
Take us on the straight path.

Ayah 7
صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ
Meaning
the path of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not of those who have incurred Your wrath, nor of those who have gone astray.
